I know, we haven’t been very present lately, but with the gorgeous summer season exploding outside, there are just so many things to do on the property.
Lo so che non siamo stati molto presenti, ma con la bella stagione le cose da fare nella proprietà si sono raddoppiate.
Our gardening journey continues with quite a lot of success and gives us much satisfaction. Our new fence might not be perfect, but it still keeps all our curious four-legged neighbours out.
Le nostre avventure di giardinaggio continuano con abbastanza successo e ci danno tantissima soddisfazione. La nostra nuova recinzione forse non sarà perfetta, ma riesce a dissuadere i nostri vicini curiosi a quattro zampe da qualsiasi tentativo di venire a fare due assaggini.
We have already started to enjoy the fresh produce and can’t wait for all the rest of the veggies to come.
Abbiamo già iniziato a degustare le nostre verdurine e non vediamo l’ora che maturi anche tutto il resto.
Nevertheless, it is never enough for us when it comes to planting new stuff which is why we ended up in the Peony Party in the arboretum of Jaunkalsnava last Sunday!! All kinds of shapes and wonderful colours, lovely weather and craft beer – what else could you ask for?
Sempre alla ricerca di piante nuove, domenica scorsa siamo finiti a Jaunkalsnava alla Festa delle peonie. Tutti i colori e le forme possibili, il tempo piacevole e la birra artigianale – cos’altro potremmo mai chiedere dalla vita!
So we are now the owners of two new peonies and some other perennial flowers that hopefully will bring us much joy later on.
Adesso siamo i fieri proprietari di due nuove peonie ed alcuni altri fiori perenni che ci porteranno tanta gioia nel futuro.
And as if that wasn’t enough, the nature is giving us a hand in bringing us fresh (or not really) treats from its pantry 😉 . Don’t take the mushroom too seriously….
E se come non bastasse, anche la natura ci sta proponendo due prelibatezze fresche (o anche meno) dalla sua cantina.
